Letter to CRTS Supporters

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:
By the grace of God, CRTS has purchased a Dormitory! When I began working here in 1996, the students were already praying for a real campus. But back then the idea of having a library building and a dorm was a distant dream. However, in 2021 the Board established a weekly campus expansion prayer meeting, and in 2026 we now have both a library building and a dormitory! God is good.

Residential Education

  • Livingtogether
  • Sharingtogether
  • Formedtogether
  • Growingtogether

The best form of seminary education is residential education. But Taipei apartments are too expensive for students to rent. Therefore, in May 2025, the Board formed a dormitory committee. First, we rented a two-floor apartment near the school with space for two married couples and three rooms for 3 single students. But even dividing the rent between them, the cost is still too expensive for most students.

Provision Beyond Imagination

“Got the Offer”

Then, after a few months of searching, in December 2025 we came across an advertisement for a four-floor mansion near Dong Hu (8 kilometers from our campus). It was advertised for NT$160,000 per ping (1 ping . 3.3 square meters). It has been unoccupied for four years and needs to be remodeled. But still, it is an unbelievable price since apartments near us are over NT$800,000 per ping for older buildings, and the price for an apartment in our 40-year-old classroom building is more than NT$1,000,000 per ping . We bought the building at a court auction. Our Board approved a bid of NT$18.25 million. On the morning of the bid, Lu Jian Li called me in Malaysia. She only said two words: “Got the Offer”. God is good!

About the Space

New Dormitory| Space Overview

“Building a Home, Forming People”

The building has 300 square meters (100 ping) of living space, along with small front and back yards and two large parking spaces. Our plan is to renovate the dormitory to include a living area on the first floor, seven apartments for married students, and four rooms for four single students. We estimate that the renovation will cost NT$13 million. We have made a down payment of NT$8.5 million, so we still need to raise NT$22.75 million.

7 Family Apartments

Providing independent living spaces for married students and their families, supporting their marriages and vocational callings within the context of community life.

4 Single Rooms

Providing shared housing for single students, fostering mutual companionship, love, and spiritual growth within the context of community life.

Interior Space

Rooftop View

Surrounded by Nature

A rooftop with fresh air, good ventilation, and surrounding greenery creates a comfortable natural environment.

Open Views

A peaceful and relaxing space with expansive views of Taipei 101 and the city skyline in the distance.

Local Amenities

Located near the well-developed Donghu commercial district, with supermarkets, restaurants, and essential services within walking distance or a short commute, providing exceptional convenience for daily life.

United in Giving, Responding to the Call

So, I must ask everyone to consider donating. We are still deeply moved by your overwhelming generosity in contributing toward our library building, and for this reason, we hesitated to purchase a dormitory. But we also believe that you will understand our need and rejoice with us in God’s provision. I hope that one day Priscilla and I will live in the building and that it will become a training center for M.Div. students and potential future teachers.
